    Abstract: A method and system for downloading the information stored on an IoT device is presented. All in-system programming pins are identified by inspection with visible light or using a computed tomography scan of the device using X-radiation. Based on this inspection, a 3D fixture is fabricated that accommodates spring-loaded pin connectors for contacting the identified in-system programming taps on the main printed circuit board of the device. The 3D test jig, in conjunction with a logic analyzer, can extract data from the internet of things (IoT) device.
