  • Patent number: 5411173
Abstract: A counter device attachment for a depressible spray dispenser for products such as medicine. The dispenser comprises a clip to fit about the side wall of the dispenser's casing, a foot-leg positioned beneath the dispenser and connected to the clip, and a counter actuated by the shaft which moves within a shaft housing, wherein a button on the counter is incremented each time the tank is depressed. The length of the vertical shaft is adjustable by controlling the rotation of the top end of the shaft which is mateably threaded to the bottom end of the shaft. The bottom end of the shaft can be threaded within the top end of the shaft or vice-versa. The clip can alternatively be curved or have a dimpled surface which may contact another dimple through a hole in the side of the dispenser. A second embodiment features the counter located beneath the dispenser which is also incremented each time the tank is depressed.

  • Patent number: 5331125
Abstract: In combination with a vehicle steering wheel including a rim portion and two spokes connecting the rim portion to a hub portion fitted with a restraint assembly, and having a button on each spoke for operating a horn switch, an apparatus for depressing the buttons to operate the horn switch includes an elongate member formed into an inverted U-shape having two ends and being of a width relative to the rim portion to fit within the rim portion and simultaneously extend over both the buttons while the ends rest against the rim portion, and a joining mechanism for pivotally joining each end to the rim portion, such that pushing against the elongate member depresses the buttons and operates the horn switch. The two ends of the elongate member are each preferably bent at approximately a right angle and directed away from each other.

  • Patent number: 5219415
Abstract: In combination with a vehicle steering wheel including a rim portion and two lower spokes and two upper spokes connecting the rim portion to a hub portion fitted with a restraint assembly, and having a button on each upper spoke for operating a horn switch, an apparatus for depressing the buttons to operate the horn switch includes an elongate member formed into an inverted U-shape having two ends and being of a size relative to the rim portion to fit within the rim portion and simultaneously extend over both the buttons while the ends rest against the lower spokes, and a joining mechanism for pivotally joining each end to one of the lower spokes, such that pushing against the elongate member depresses the buttons and operates the horn switch. The two ends of the elongate member are each preferably bent at approximately a right angle and directed away from each other.

  • Patent number: 5186460
Abstract: A computerized racing game provides a display of contestants who move from a start to a finish position in response to chance factors determined by the computer and strategical inputs supplied to the computer by the players. The latter is implemented by allocating a reserve of energy to each contestant, and allowing each player to determine the rate at which the energy is consumed.

  • Patent number: 4454757
Abstract: A portable, pocket sized instrument for measuring wind speed and indicating wind direction wherein a multiple number of vanes of varying size and spacing are radially and orthogonally fixed to a disc and wherein the force of the wind against the vanes causes the disc to rotate against the restraining torque of a spring. Wind speed is indicated by angular rotation of the disc and wind direction is indicated by the orientation of the instrument at the time of maximum reading. A foldable handle protects the mechanism and increases the convenience of positioning the instrument.

  • Patent number: 4141339
Abstract: A relatively low cost and lightweight solar energy collector of the type in which air is used as the heat transfer medium is provided by a frame member having the general form of an upwardly open box formed of relatively low density rigid thermal insulating slabs, a solar insulation absorber plate within the box, and a transparent glazing cover for closing the top open side of the box, with the edges of the frame member being secured to and sealed with the glazing cover by a high temperature adhesive and sealant which has the property of flexibility in maintaining its sealing and bonding character throughout the variations in temperature to which the solar collector is subjected to thereby accommodate the differential expansion of the box relative to the cover.
