  • Patent number: 9677035
Abstract: A device and a method for heating a fermentable starting material for beverage production wherein a heat transporting medium is transported in a heat transporting medium circuit in a first flow direction via a heat storage device for storing/emitting heat, a heating medium for heating the heat transporting medium, and a heat emission chamber in which the heat is transferred from the heat transporting medium to the fermentable starting material flowing in a line.

  • Publication number: 20150376557
Abstract: A device and a method for heating a fermentable starting product in order to produce a beverage, comprises a line which is arranged inside a combustion chamber and via which a part of a heat outputted from a heat source in the combustion chamber by a first heat transporting medium can be transferred to the fermentable starting product flowing in the line. A heat storage device arranged downstream of the combustion chamber is used for storing a part of the residual heat transported by means of the first heat transporting medium. The line is arranged such that the fermentable starting product flowing in the line is pre-heated upstream of the combustion chamber in a pre-heating chamber by the heat stored in the heat storage device.

  • Patent number: 5043284
Abstract: Disclosed is a method described for heating brewing mash, and a heat source and a heat exchanger that transfers heat with it and that has mash flowing through it are provided. The heat exchanger exhibits at least one evenly coiled tube that has a smooth surface on the inner side. The spelts contained in the brewing mash continuously repolish the inner surface of the tube so that the danger of deposits and overheating of brewing mash components is reduced.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 1, 1990
Date of Patent: August 27, 1991
Assignee: O. Salm & Company GmbH
    Inventors: Walter Welledits, Albert Welledits
