  • Patent number: 11599607
Abstract: An authentication method for a telecommunications system comprising a computer network and a telephone network that includes receiving, at an Authentication System across the computer network, data indicative of an authentication request. The request is typically made by a provider in connection with a user (e.g. by a provider to obtain authentication from a user as the result of an authentication trigger detected by a provider system). A telephone call is establishing by the telephone network between the Authentication System and a telephone device with a telephone number associated with the user. A PIN is received from the user at the Authentication System during the telephone call. It is then determined if the received PIN is valid. The authentication request is authenticated if the PIN is determined to be valid.

  • Patent number: 10280690
Abstract: A drill head including: an elongate housing, a first end of the housing being coupled to an end of a drill pipe in use; a base at a second end of the housing, one or more drill cutters being attached to the base; a supply passageway at least partially within the housing, the supply passageway being supplied with a flow of gas in use; a return passageway at least partially within the housing, a first end of the return passageway being connected to an end of an inner tube extending inside the drill pipe in use, and a second end of the return passageway forming an opening in the base proximate to the one or more drill cutters; and one or more ports for directing at least some of the flow of gas from the supply passageway into the return passageway in a flow direction extending away from the base and towards the inner tube, to thereby cause loose material to be drawn into the return passageway through the opening and transported away from the drill head via the inner tube in use.

  • Publication number: 20090220060
Abstract: 1.1. Phone and PIN enables any unmodified telephone to act as a secure PIN (Personal Identification Number) entry means any remote Computer or Business Information System can use to authenticate the identity of any person or to obtain validation for any transaction purportedly made by any person. There are many instances when Business Information Systems or individuals may wish to immediately confirm the accuracy, validity or authenticity of the identity of any person or confirm the accuracy, validity or authenticity of a transaction any person has, is about to or which they intend to present. This need often arises in the normal course of business and particularly when persons transact business on the Internet. Phone and PIN provides an automated means for such authentication to be obtained. The person to be called has a PIN number associated with their telephone, which is known to them.

  • Publication number: 20090166108
Abstract: A vehicle in certain embodiments of the present teachings may include one or more of the following features: (a) a chassis, (b) at least one front ground engaging member and at least one rear ground engaging member coupled to the chassis, (c) a steering member for steering at least one of the ground engaging members, (d) an engine carried by the chassis for powering the vehicle, the engine including a cylinder disposed adjacent a crankshaft and an inverter generator operatively connected to the crankshaft, (e) an output shaft operatively coupled to the crankshaft to transmit power from the engine to at least one of the ground engaging members, and (f) a cover attached to the engine adjacent to the inverter generator, a cooling line disposed within the cover, and a fluid within the cooling line such that heat is transferred from the inverter generator to the fluid.

  • Publication number: 20010043683
Abstract: A communications system generally comprises communications apparatus 1 which is connected via a communications link 2 to a user's computer system 3 and via a telephone system 4 to a plurality of telephones 5 each belonging to a call recipient. The basic functioning of the communications system is as follows. The user whose computer system 3 is connected to the communications apparatus 1 has information stored in the computer system 3 which either he wishes to deliver to the call recipients or which the call recipients wish to obtain. This information is received by the communications apparatus 1 and at an appropriate time the communications apparatus 1 automatically calls the telephone 5 of the correct call recipient and delivers an audible voice message via the telephone system 4 to the telephone 5 of the call recipient.

  • Patent number: 4380494
Abstract: A plurality of truss-like supports are secured, as by welding, and in spaced relationship, to the underside of a screen cloth. The supported screen cloth is then removably secured in position in a vibrating frame to form therewith a vibrating screen. Each truss-like support includes a support rod formed of wire rod of predetermined diameter disposed with a major portion thereof spaced from and substantially parallel to the plane of the screen cloth, and with end portions thereof merging into the plane of the end pieces of selected wire rods forming the screen cloth and being welded thereto. A spacer wire, formed from wire rod of a diameter less than that of the support rod and to an approximate sinusoidal configuration, is disposed so that the upper tips, formed by the sine configuration, are welded to the bottom surface of the screen cloth and so that the lower such tips are welded to the upper surface of the support rod.

  • Patent number: 4288320
Abstract: A plurality of weighted springy arms are formed integral with, and so as to extend laterally, to one or both sides of, a resilient mounting strip that is disposed beneath, and in contact with, the lower surface of the screen deck of a vibrating screen. The intended vibrating action of the vibrating screen induces an oscillating movement of the weighted springy arms to effect a rapping action of the weighted ends of the arms against the undersurface of the screen deck to loosen material which may have lodged in or plugged the screen openings and to unclog same. The resilient strips disposed on the extreme sides of the screen need only have weighted springy arms on the side thereof towards the central portion of the screen deck if space on the other side of the strip does not permit proper disposition and action of such an arm; while the strips disposed in the central section of the vibrating screen have arms extending from both sides of the resilient strip.
