    Abstract: A rotating electrical machine and method for making the machine, where the machine includes a high-voltage stator winding and elongated support devices for supporting the winding. The machine and method employ an arrangement of cable that is made of inner conductive strands, covered with a first semiconducting layer, which is covered with an insulating layer, which is covered with a second semiconducting layer. The cable is wound in slots in the stator such that separate cable lead-throughs are positioned in specific arrangements with respect to each other and in slots of the stator. The arrangement of the cable in the stator protects the integrity of the respective components in the cable and particularly the second semiconducting layer.

    Abstract: In a method for mounting a cable winding, cable by cable, on a stator (S) for a generator a number of cables (K) of predetermined lengths are used for the intended winding. The method implies mounting each such cable starting at the stator slot representing the middle of an intended coil arc, the first cable half being mounted according to a winding diagram in one direction from the said center slot and other cable half being mounted according to the winding diagram in the opposite direction starting from the same center slot. The method is carried out by means of a device comprising a drum means, for instance in the form of a capstan machine (2), which originally supports the entire predetermined cable length of a cable. Further, there are two cable feeders (A, B) disposed on either side of the stator (S), which alternatively lay the cable (k) in the stator slots according to the winding diagram by means of intermediate storage means (3, 4).

    Abstract: A device for coiling and uncoiling elongated goods (K), such as wire, cable or the like, onto a drum (13) comprises a support (12) with driving means (25) for a spreader arm (10). The spreader arm (10) is rotatably mounted on the support (12) and supports a gripping arm (14) for coiling and uncoiling the elongated goods (K) onto the stationary drum (13). The gripping arm (14) is formed as a curved V-profile having a running track arranged for the elongated goods (K), which running track is oriented towards the drum (13). The said running track is defined by feeding rollers mounted within the gripping arm (14). The feeding rollers are spherical in shape and have a rolling resistance near zero to eliminate twisting of the elongated goods (K) during coiling and uncoiling.
