  • Patent number: 7013698
Abstract: Bending press comprising: a stationary support structure (11), a first and a second toolholder unit (12, 13) movable relative to each other between an open position and a closed position, actuator means (14) able to command the relative motion between the toolholder units (12, 13) and to apply a bending force between the stationary structure (11) and at least one of said toolholder units (12, 13). At least one of said toolholder units (12, 13) comprises: a reaction structure (15), a precision structure (17) destined to bear a bending tool, and elastic means (198) positioned between the precision structure (17) and the reaction structure (15) and able to allow a movement of the precision structure (17) relative to the reaction structure (15) under the action of the bending load.

  • Patent number: 6365872
Abstract: A method for cutting a window in a sheet of material that is held in a vertical plane. The cut is obtained by moving a cutting head that emits a fluid along a closed cutting run (14) that defines the outline of a piece of waste material (18). The run (14) returns to its starting point situated above a horizontal axis (22) passing through the barycenter (20) of the piece of waste material (18) and preferably situated in the vicinity of a vertical (24) passing through the barycenter.

  • Patent number: 6310316
Abstract: Equipment for the laser cutting of metal sheets is to hold the metal sheets in a vertical plans by means of a laser-focusing head (10) which is movable in a vertical plans relative to the metal sheet (12). The equipment includes an abutment member (18) carried by the focusing head (10) and intended to bear against that face (20) of the sheet (12) facing the focusing head (10).

  • Patent number: 6151947
Abstract: A method and apparatus for the production of bent sheet metal pieces (12) is disclosed. In the method or apparatus, a cut (14) is made in a sheet of sheet metal (10) that defines the perimeter of piece (12) to be obtained. The cut (14) is interrupted at preselected points to form a series of microjoints (16) that keep the plan development of the piece (12) united with the stiffening frame (18) constituted by the remaining part of the metal sheet (10). At least one window (36, 38) is formed in the stiffening frame (18) in order to allow a pair of bending tools having a length greater than the length of the bend to form a bend (20, 22) on the piece (12) without interfering the stiffening frame (18) while the bend is being formed.
