  • Publication number: 20230145554
Abstract: Example implementations relate to substrate porosity determination. Some examples refer to a substrate porosity determination comprising an image capture device a controller to obtain a reference image by the image capture device; obtain a measurement image after a printing operation has been performed on a substrate located over the image capture device; compare the reference image and the measurement image—determine whether the substrate is porous based on the comparison; and determine a print parameter based on the determination of whether the substrate is porous.

  • Publication number: 20230126225
Abstract: A printing apparatus comprises a depositing device and a sublimation device. The depositing device may deposit a print fluid on a first surface of a print medium. The print fluid comprises a sublimation agent to sublimate at a sublimation temperature. The sublimation device may sublimate the sublimation agent deposited on the print medium by generating heat radiation in a direction from a second surface of the print medium towards the first surface, the second surface being opposite to the first surface.

  • Publication number: 20230048927
Abstract: Certain examples described herein relate to liquid waste containers delimiting an opening for receiving liquid. The liquid waste container comprises a receptacle for liquid waste and a bistable arrangement having first and second stable states such that when the bistable arrangement is in the first stable state, liquid can be received into the receptacle through the opening, and when the bistable arrangement is in the second stable state, liquid is prevented from exiting the receptacle through the opening. The example liquid waste container further comprises an actuator arranged to engage the bistable arrangement and to cause the bistable arrangement to transition from the first stable state to the second stable state.

  • Patent number: 10440195
Abstract: A method of determining calibration values for a media advance system of a page wide array printing device is described. A test pattern is printed on a calibration medium which advances along a media axis through the printing device. The test pattern comprises a plurality of test marks. The test pattern is scanned along a scan axis using a sensor and the calibration medium is advanced along the media axis through the printing device. The dimensions of the scanned test marks are analyzed, and calibration values are determined from the analyzed dimensions of the test marks. The scan axis is orthogonal to the media axis.
