  • Patent number: 6056304
Abstract: An elastic suspension for axles of industrial vehicles, particularly axles of earth-movers, which is constituted by two substantially identical and superimposed metal plates; the upper plate is rigidly anchored to the chassis of the vehicle and the lower plate is connected to the conventional oscillating supports of the axle; the plates are mutually hinged along one side which is orientated longitudinally with respect to the vehicle so that they can move mutually apart and mutually closer by virtue of elastic elements which are capable of absorbing the maximum load that bears on the axle; the elastic elements are preferably constituted by a torsion bar which is keyed, with one of its ends, to the axis of the hinge and is rigidly coupled, with its opposite end, to the chassis of the vehicle by a transverse crank-shaped arm which is in turn connected to the stem of a cylinder that is capable of supplying the torque shaft with the necessary preloading for correct operation and of allowing the axle to be suspende

  • Patent number: 5946983
Abstract: A power transmission system, particularly a hydrostatic-mechanical power transmission system for industrial and farming vehicles and the like, comprising a first train of constantly meshed gears which are adapted to selectively connect, through a first pair of clutch units, the prime mover (of the vehicle) to a hydrostatic pump and/or to a hydrostatic motor; and a second train of gears which are adapted to selectively connect, through a second pair of clutch units, the hydrostatic motor or the pump to the output shaft, thus providing a hydrostatic continuously variable transmission (CVT) known in the art as I.sup.2.

  • Patent number: 5678463
Abstract: A process for the global control of a drive unit for a gearbox operated by a hydrostatic system, for a vehicle equipped with at least two gears, comprising an appropriate sequence of steps, performed with preset timings, for activating and deactivating electric valves and for varying the displacement of a hydrostatic motor and of a hydrostatic pump in order to shift gear. The various steps of the sequence are controlled by an electronic control unit.

  • Patent number: 5364316
Abstract: The power distributor unit has an input drive shaft rigidly connected to a spider for a train of planetary gears of an epicyclic train. The epicyclic train has a sun gear keyed to a transmission shaft. A locking device is keyed to the shaft for locking the sun gear with respect to a ring gear of the epicyclic train. A transmission mechanism is also keyed to the shaft for connecting the sun gear to a continuously-variable transmission. A first clutch connects the ring gear to a first countershaft, which is connected to the continuously-variable transmission, and is rigidly connected to an output gear of the power distributor unit.
