  • Patent number: 8054799
Abstract: Systems and techniques for routing frames in one or more radio access networks based on a physical addressing scheme involve assigning a unique identifier to a virtual local area network that includes a path connecting an access point to a radio network serving node. For each of multiple nodes in the radio access network, the virtual local area network is associated with a port for routing frames towards the radio network serving node and/or a port for routing frames towards the access point. Frames that include a destination address associated with a mobile station associated with the access point are unicast from the radio network serving node towards the access point using the virtual local area network.

  • Publication number: 20090044228
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for providing information related to available broadcast programs, such as Electronic Program Guides or parts thereof, in a mobile communication network comprising a plurality of cells, with respective base stations. The cells with their base stations are part of a broadcast zone managed by a server. The server identifies the available broadcast programs and transmits the information via the base stations to access terminals that are serviced by those base stations. The base stations establish a specific EPG broadcast connection and transmit the information to the access terminals being serviced by them, over the specific EPG broadcast connection.

  • Publication number: 20060182027
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for controlling data traffic in a telecommunications network (150), said control being carried out in terms of a statistic modeling of the traffic transmitted by the network (150) by means of a gaussian distribution of the data flow. According to the invention, one such method is characterized in that a characteristic value of the Gaussian distribution is weighted by means of a parameter ? which varies according to the intensity of the variations or the discontinuity, of the traffic process by said network (150), said weighted value being used to evaluate the traffic in the network.
