Abstract: Systems and methods for collecting and sorting garbage are described herein. The system may include a processing unit, a sensing unit, and a blockchain node. The processing unit may be configured to receive, from a user device associated with a user, an identifier associated with a garbage collection bin. The user device may be associated with user data. The processing unit may be further configured to collect garbage collection data from a sensing unit associated with the garbage collection bin. The processing unit may be further configured to assign a reward to the user for placing the garbage item into the garbage collection bin, based on the identifier, the user data, and the garbage collection data. The blockchain node may be configured to store the user data and data concerning the reward.
