  • Patent number: 11970057
Abstract: A closing system is provided which includes a frame adapted to be mounted on a vehicle supply system, the frame being shaped as a spherical segment and extending between a first circular section and a second circular section. The frame has a plurality of first and second guides, arranged on a radially outer surface. The closing system has a plurality of curved panels, each curved panel being shaped as a spherical cap portion and constrained at a first end and a second end thereof to slide, respectively, along a first guide and a second guide between a first position, in which the curved panels jointly define an opening that allows access to the vehicle supply system, and a second position, in which the curved panels prevent access to the supply system. Control means control movement of the curved panels between the first and second positions.

  • Patent number: 5833409
Abstract: A power tool (e.g. a laminate trimmer 10) includes an adjustable support for setting the position of the motor unit (16). The support includes a first collar element (24) secured to the motor and a support upright (14). A stud (32) threadedly secured to the collar is slidable in a slot (28) and co-operates with the slot (28) to maintain confronting surfaces (14a and 26a) of the elements in face to face engagement. The elements are thus constrained to slide only in a direction parallel to the upright (14). A clamping screw (36) threadedly engaged in the stud can be tightened to lock the adjustable support at a desired position. The arrangement provides high stability to permit adjustment of the motor position even when the motor is operating.

  • Patent number: 5819421
Abstract: A powered jig saw comprises a holder for a saw blade at the lower end of the reciprocating drive shaft. The holder is adjustable, by rotation of an actuating section, between an open position and a closed position for holding the saw blade. The actuating section comprises, in the interior of an upwardly open tube portion of the drive shaft, an engagement surface which, for the purpose of rotating the actuating section, engages with a working surface of a rotatable adjustment device which is stationary when the drive shaft is driven. The upper end portion of the drive shaft is mounted, so as to be capable of axial displacement, in a guide bush, above which there is a holding device of the adjustment device, in which holding device there is fixed a downwardly extending element comprising the working surface. A pendulum mechanism serves to generate a swivelling movement of the drive shaft.

  • Patent number: 5727322
Abstract: A jig saw 30 includes a housing 32 and a keyless shoe 54 which can be adjusted relative to the housing to selectively position a cutting blade 48 for effecting a cut perpendicular to the plane of a workpiece 66, or a cut which is bevelled with respect to the plane of the workpiece. A locking mechanism 58 includes a lever 60 which is formed with a locking section 170 having a wide cross section portion and a narrow cross section portion. When making an adjustment, the locking mechanism 58 is unlocked by pivoting the lever 60 so that the narrow portion of the locking section 170 is in a prescribed alignment. After making the adjustment to a desired relative orientation and position between the housing 32 and the shoe 54, the lever 60 is pivoted to the locked position. In this position, the wide portion of the locking section 170 is placed in a prescribed alignment whereby the components of the locking mechanism 58 are locked, or tightened.
