  • Publication number: 20230397883
Abstract: An implantable medical device is configured to detect signals with first and second implantable sensors configured to be implanted in a recipient. The implantable medical device is configured to adaptively equalize a response of the first implantable sensor to a response of a similar external sensor, wherein adaption control of the equalization is based on a coherence between the signals detected by first implantable sensor and the signals detected by the external microphone indicating the presence of acoustic signals. In addition, the implantable medical device is configured to adaptively filter vibration signals, including body noises, from the implantable sound signals, wherein adaption control of the filter is based on a coherence between the signals detected by first implantable sensor and the signals detected by the second implantable sensor indicating the presence of vibration.

  • Publication number: 20230368806
Abstract: A system for reducing noise in a drive signal of a hearing device, including a microphone operative to receive sound and generate a microphone output signal and an adaptive filter apparatus that receives a signal from a transducer separate from the microphone and outputs a filtered signal, wherein the system subtracts the outputted filtered signal from a signal based on the microphone output signal to cancel noise and outputs the resulting signal, and the system further processes the resulting signal to obtain a further processed resulting signal to remove and/or eliminate residual feedback present in the resulting signal.

  • Patent number: 9838804
Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for adaptively filtering audio signals are disclosed. An example system includes a microphone configured to generate a first audio signal in response to receiving a sound, an output transducer configured to provide an output, and a sound processor configured to: (i) filter a first sample of the audio input signal using an adaptive filter to provide a first filtered audio input signal, with the dynamic range of the adaptive filter being limited by an initial value of at least one parameter filter; (ii) process the first filtered audio signal to provide a output audio signal; and (iii) cause the output transducer to provide an output that is based at least in part on the output audio signal. Adaptive signal modeling may be used to update the adaptive filter, with model and the initial value of at least one parameter filter being based on environmental classifier.

  • Patent number: 8014379
Abstract: A circuit for processing a packet based signal received over a Bluetooth radio link has a correlator to detect at least part of the access code. A correlator controller, reconfigures the correlator according to a timing of the access code, to detect at least part of the EDR synchronization sequence, and a demodulator demodulates the payload according to the detection. The correlator has an input signal register, a buffer for a sequence of at least part of the wanted signal values, and a series of comparators arranged to compare input signal values with corresponding ones of the wanted signal values at more than one offset. By such dual use of the same correlator, the receiver can be made more cost effective.
