  • Patent number: 5879870
Abstract: Improvements in post process Dmin are provided in a photographic element that has a preferred coupler, hardener, and permanent solvent. The coupler of the element comprises between about 20 and 40 percent by weight of the coupler and oil phase components and the element further comprises chromanol stabilizer.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 21, 1996
Date of Patent: March 9, 1999
    Assignee: Eastman Kodak Company
Inventors: Thomas A. Rosiek, Alberto M. Martinez, Walter H. Isaac
  • Patent number: 5565309
Abstract: The invention creates a selective oxygen barrier around individual coupler or other photographically active particles by surrounding each particle with a layer of water applicable oxygen barrier polymer such as polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), which will also act as a steric barrier to coalescence of the particles. Photographic products formed with such materials are more dye stable. The dispersions of this invention are prepared by mechanical milling or homogenization procedures.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 18, 1994
Date of Patent: October 15, 1996
    Assignee: Eastman Kodak Company
Inventors: Pranab Bagchi, Vincent J. Flow, III, Alberto M. Martinez
  • Patent number: 5563024
Abstract: An improved image display material comprising a light sensitive tabular grain silver chloride emulsion spectrally sensitized to a peak wavelength of less than about 475 nm, and a method of use comprising the step of optically printing a color image onto the improved color photographic display material is provided. The material and method enable reduced printing times, improved color reproduction and lowered image granularity.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 8, 1995
Date of Patent: October 8, 1996
    Assignee: Eastman Kodak Company
