  • Patent number: 10881305
Abstract: The thoracic element, in the shape of a band, comprises a support layer (5) including a first and second sensors (1),(2) and a processing unit (3) inside a casing (8). The first sensor (1) is a laminated strain gauge located on an elastic portion (5c) of the support layer (5) and the second sensor (2) is formed by a first and a second laminated electro-conductive elements (2a), (2b) cooperating to obtain an ECG measurement. Each of the sensors (1), (2) includes at their ends a connector (21a, 21b, 11a, 11b) to be attached to terminals (4a), (4b) of the casing (8). The laminated electro-conductive elements are superimposed and separated by an electric insulating rigid laminar layer (6). The support layer has two openings (5a) and (5b) at a given distance, through which the electro-conductive elements (2a and 2b) can contact the skin of the individual.
