    Abstract: An apparatus for powder spheroidisation by microwave-induced plasma comprises a microwave generator, a microwave cavity, a waveguide connecting the microwave generator to the microwave cavity, a plasma tube partially located in the microwave cavity, a powder supply connected to the plasma tube to feed a powder precursor flow thereinto, a gas supply connected to the plasma tube to feed a process gas flow thereinto, in order to form a plasma torch in the plasma tube by coupling the process gas flow with the microwave radiation, and a compressed air supply. The microwave cavity comprises at least one opening for the compressed air so that the latter can cool the plasma tube from outside, and the gas supply is connected to the powder supply to let the process gas carry the powder precursor into the plasma tube, and so into the plasma torch in order to make spheroids from the powder precursor by in-flight melting.

    Abstract: Virtualization can be used to isolate drivers in monolithic operating systems. For example, a monolithic kernel can determine that a first driver has a first level of criticality to the monolithic kernel that is higher than a second level of criticality for a second driver. In response to determining that the first level is higher than the second level, the monolithic kernel can execute a first driver workload for the first driver. The monolithic kernel can also execute a virtual machine including a guest kernel. The guest kernel can execute a second driver workload for the second driver such that the second driver is isolated to the virtual machine. A communication channel can be generated between the guest kernel and the monolithic kernel such that the monolithic kernel can access the second driver workload via the communication channel.

The module datacenter facility can be constructed with an initial set of building modules of different types of functionality. A first building module can be a data-floor building module. A first set of sidewall-connected heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (“HVAC”) units can connect to a sidewall of the modular datacenter facility and use electrical power provided by a first electrical power distribution building module to supply conditioned air into an air-supply plenum of the sidewall to cool computing systems housed in the data-floor building module. The first set of the sidewall-connected HVAC units allow for fewer penetrations in a roof of the data-floor building module, thereby minimizing an amount of leaks potentially occurring in the roof of the ceiling, and thereby minimizing risk of any damage to the computing systems.
