  • Patent number: 5233915
Abstract: The steam ejection nozzle comprises an elongated body which internally defines a chamber. One end of the body is open for coupling to a steam delivery duct and the other end has a plurality of steam discharge outlets. The steam ejection nozzle furthermore comprises a lamination cone which can be partially immersed within a fluid to be emulsified. The lamination cone is skimmed by the flow of steam discharged from the outlets in order to facilitate penetration of the steam into the liquid and create a vortex which increases the inclusion of air.

  • Patent number: 4922810
Abstract: An automatic device for obtaining frothy milk comprises a first mixing assembly (30) which feeds a second frothing assembly (40), comprising an expansion chamber (17), a milk feeding duct (31) being provided in the first assembly (30) inside a nozzle (13) for the pressurized steam, this nozzle being coaxial to the milk duct (31), the outlet of this duct slightly projecting over the steam outlet. The milk-steam mixture which is formed, tangentially flows to the expansion chamber, which has a circular section. Preferably the diameter of the nozzle (12) of the outflowing milk is about 1.1-1.2 mm, while the clear radial span of the annular section nozzle (13) of the outflowing steam is about 0.2 mm, the milk outlet projecting about 0.2 mm with respect to the steam outlet.

  • Patent number: 4685917
Abstract: A valvular system for the extraction and/or addition of liquids held in flexible sterilizable containers of plastic material, including an elastomeric semirigid hydraulic seal having two major superior and inferior faces and at least one minor lateral face. A housing of plastic material for the said elastomeric element. The valvular system is characterized in that at least one of the said major faces of the elastomeric element is at least partially spaced from the housing body.

  • Patent number: 4656813
Abstract: A method and apparatus for producing and filling sterilized bags includes the steps of: feeding a film material from which the bags are formed from at least one reel; printing information on the film; cleaning the film in two stages which includes ultrasonic vibration and washing with water; drying the film; sterilizing it with ultraviolet rays; applying valves to the film; welding, punching and printing the film to generate a large bag; filling the large bag with liquid and inert gas; applying a second welding orthogonal to the first welding direction to divide the larger bag into a plurality of final bag having a predetermined size; cutting the film into the individual bags and testing the integrity of each bag; and vacuum packaging the bags and/or megablistering it.
