    Abstract: A powdered dishwasher detergent with a clear rinsing effect consisting essentially of water-soluble salts of condensed phosphates, silicates, carbonates, hydroxides, citrates, as well as nonionic surface-active compounds and compounds releasing chlorine in aqueous solutions comprising from 3.5% to 8% by weight on an anhydrous basis of compounds releasing active chlorine in aqueous solutions, from 3.5% to 10% by weight of low sudsing nonionic surface-active compounds, from 5% to 20% by weight of water-soluble salts of citric acid, and from 0 to 10% by weight of water-soluble salts of an organic monocarboxylic acid or an organic polycarboxylic acid; as well as the process of machine washing dishes employing the above detergent.
