  • Patent number: 10041849
Abstract: A system to detect a pressure difference between the interior of a cabin of an aircraft and the exterior of the aircraft. The system includes a window arrangement having a first windowpane with a first surface and an opposite second surface and is adapted to be mounted in an aircraft such that the first surface of the first windowpane faces the exterior of the aircraft and is subjected to ambient outside atmospheric pressure and the second surface faces the cabin interior, and a pressure sensor including a first pressure port. The first windowpane includes a first air passage opening extending between the first and second surfaces of the first windowpane, and the pressure sensor is sealingly connected to the first air passage opening such that the first pressure port of the pressure sensor is subjected to pressure acting on the first surface of the first windowpane.

  • Patent number: 9640000
Abstract: A surveillance device and method provide access to a surveillance system for keeping a cabin of an aircraft under surveillance. A computer program may be used to execute the method for accessing the surveillance system. The surveillance device includes an authentication unit for examining an access-authorization request for access to the surveillance system, and a control unit for selecting, on the basis of the access-authorization request, a display unit from a plurality of display units provided in the aircraft, and for relaying a video-image signal corresponding to a captured video image of a subarea of the cabin of the aircraft to the selected display unit for the purpose of displaying the video image.

  • Publication number: 20140035302
Abstract: A door latching device for holding a door in a latched and/or a locked state, the latching device comprising: a rotatable catch member mounted for rotational movement between an engaged position, in which the catch member projects for engagement with a latch member of a door, and a disengaged position, in which the catch member is retracted from engagement with the latch member; and a magnetic actuator connected with the catch member for biasing or effecting rotational movement of the catch member from the disengaged position to the engaged position. The magnetic actuator preferably includes a first magnet, which is fixed with respect to the catch member for rotation therewith, and a second magnet which generates a magnetic force to bias or effect rotation of the catch member from the disengaged position to the engaged position.
