  • Publication number: 20180373211
Abstract: A temperature monitoring device for tool spindles of woodworking machines such as moulding machines, with a spindle housing in which a spindle shaft with at least one rotary bearing is supported, has at least one temperature sensor for detecting the temperature of the rotary bearing of the spindle. Signals are supplied to at least one evaluation unit which converts the signals to temperature values. The temperature values are stored in at least one cloud from where the data by an app located on a smart device and/or by a browser can be retrieved.

  • Publication number: 20180126511
Abstract: With the machine, workpieces are machined as they pass through the machine. At least one of the spindles of the machine is coupled with an adjusting unit with which the spindle, for producing a contour on the workpiece, can be adjusted transverse to the throughfeed direction of the workpiece during workpiece throughfeed. The adjustment of the adjusting unit is realized as a function of the advancing speed of the workpiece and/or the workpiece position upon throughfeed of the workpiece. The adjusting unit has such a stiffness and/or low clearance and/or positioning precision that the end products machined from the workpieces after exiting from the machine can be used without further post-machining. The end products have such a geometry precision and surface quality that further post-machining is no longer required.

  • Publication number: 20170227420
Abstract: A woodworking spindle has a spindle shaft disposed in a spindle housing. One or more rotary bearings support the spindle shaft in the spindle housing. One or more temperature sensors are provided that detect the temperature of the one or more rotary bearings. An evaluation unit is provided and temperature signals generated by the temperature sensors are supplied to the evaluation unit that generates output signals based on evaluation of the temperature signals generated by the temperature sensors. In a method for monitoring the temperature of rotary bearings of a spindle of a woodworking machine, the temperature of the rotary bearings is permanently detected and rotary bearing temperature signals are generated. The rotary bearing temperature signals are sent to an evaluation unit and compared with a first temperature limit value. A first output signal is generated when the temperature signals reach a first temperature limit value.

  • Publication number: 20100175787
Abstract: A machine for machining workpieces of wood and plastics has a rotatably driven spindle and at least one tool that is seated on the rotatably driven spindle and has a circular arrangement of knives. The tool has a tool body and the circular arrangement of knives is supported on the tool body. An inner table acting as a workpiece support is provided, wherein the circular arrangement of knives surrounds the inner table and wherein the inner table is a component of the tool. A machine table is provided on which the workpieces are fed to the at least one tool.

  • Patent number: 7401536
Abstract: In a method of jointing a cutting edge of at least one cutting blade of a rotating tool, wherein between the tool and at least one straight jointing stone a radial advancing movement is carried out and wherein the jointing stone has an active jointing area that is longer than a length of the cutting edge, at least one relative stroke between the jointing stone and the cutting edge is performing during jointing in a longitudinal direction of the cutting edge. The relative stroke has a stroke length that is shorter than the length of the cutting edge.

  • Patent number: 7249919
Abstract: A release device for actuating a clamping device for tools has at least one release element and a drive drivingly connected to the at least one release element for moving the at least one release element from a rest position into a release position in which a draw bar of the clamping device is moved against a clamping force into a disengaged position. The drive is an electric motor. The axis of the electric motor can be aligned with the axis of the release device but an angled arrangement of the electric motor and of the release device relative to one another is also possible.

  • Patent number: 6058993
Abstract: A device for machining workpieces of wood or plastic has at least one spindle having a spindle axis and being moveable transverse to the spindle axis relative to a reference plane. A machining tool having cutting edges is provided. The machining tool is seated on the spindle. At least one measuring device is provided for correctly positioning the cutting edges relative to the reference plane. Correct positioning is achieved by moving the spindle in a direction transverse to the spindle axis and detecting by the measuring device a preset position of the cutting edges of the machining tool relative to the reference plane and generating a switch-off signal when the cutting edges of the matching tool are in the preset position.
