  • Publication number: 20090098071
Abstract: A process for preparing a sprayable self-tanning oil-in-water microemulsion having an oil droplet diameter in a range of from about 10?1 ?m to about 10?2 ?m. The process comprises changing a pH of a mixture comprising an aqueous phase, an oil phase, from 0.5% to 6% by weight of dihydroxyacetone and from 0.1% to 5% by weight of one or more emulsifiers A whose lipophilicity is pH-dependent to effect a phase inversion which results in the microemulsion.
