Abstract: The present invention is related to a combination comprising a first constituent and a second constituent, wherein the first constituent is a bacterial cell which comprises at least one recombinant nucleic acid molecule encoding a phagolysosomal escape peptide or polypeptide; and wherein the second constituent is a biologically active agent. In certain embodiments, the combination is of use as a vaccine to induce an immune response in a mammal.

Abstract: A process for the preparation of isomer-free 2,5-dichloropyridine comprising alkoxylating 2-chloro-pyridine or 2-bromo-pyridine in the presence of a base at elevated temperatures, chlorinating with gaseous chlorine the alkoxylated product at ambient temperatures in an aqueous suspension in the presence of an auxiliary base, a small amount of a catalyst and optionally a small amount of an emulsifier, treating the isomer reaction mixture with a Vielsmeyer-Haack reagent, subjecting 2,5- and 2,3-dichloropyridine mixture to water vapor distillation and crystallizing the crystalline product from an alcohol-water mixture.

Abstract: Microorganisms with the ability to cleave enantioselectively 5-substituted hydantoins to L-alpha-amino acids are cultivated in a known manner in a batch preparation. By one-time dosage of anondegradable enzyme inductor of the structure ##STR1## (where R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and X are specifically defined) an increased enzyme activity combined with an increased reaction rate is achieved.
