Abstract: In a traveling carriage for the transporting of workpieces, material, or the like, particularly in a longitudinal transfer system on a rail against which travel rollers (3, 4) which move at least one support plate (7) rest. The support plate (7) is connected turnably around a swivel shaft (12) on the one hand to the travel rollers (3, 4) and on the other hand to a mounting plate (11) for the workpieces, material, or the like. In this connection, straight-line guide rollers (13) are arranged, offset from the swivel shaft (12), on the support plate (7) on both sides of the rail (2).

Abstract: The invention concerns a longitudinal transfer system made out of rail sections for guiding transport cars from one processing station to another, two adjacent rail sections being connected with one another mechanically and electrically. A connecting part and section strips are connected with one rail section incapable of sliding and with the other rail section with play but only so tightly that motion of the second rail section is possible, in particular as a result of expansion.

Abstract: A drive for turning a pinion shaft provided with toothed ridges by means of a rack the latter is connected on both sides with pistons, which in each case are held by a cylinder with the formation of a working space which may be acted upon by a pressure medium and closed by a cover or piston. In this case, the rack may be mounted for relative movement with respect to a toothed piston. The rack as well as the toothed piston engage with their teeth the toothed ridges of the pinion shaft.

Abstract: The present invention discloses an apparatus for the rotation of, for example, workpieces to be machined, on a carrier which can be set in rotation by a pinion shaft with toothed strips via a rack, the rack being arranged perpendicularly to an axis of the pinion shaft in a cylinder bore of a housing slidably between covers closing the cylinder bore, pistons provided on the rack at each end forming with a respective cover a chamber which can be subjected to pressure medium, and the toothed strips of the pinion shaft meshing with the toothing of the rack between the two pistons, wherein the spacing of the toothing and pinion shaft or toothed strips is variable.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a linear unit, especially an apparatus for the machining, transportation and manipulation of workpieces, with a housing and with a carriage which is movable out of the housing and to which a handling appliance or the like for the workpiece can be fixed, wherein the carriage is designed as a box section and is mounted slidably in the housing on an adjustably positioned ball bearing assembly, and a groove fixing a stop member of the carriage with a shock absorber being removable from a path of the stop for cushioning of the carriage.
