  • Patent number: 4533149
Abstract: A seal ring for controlling fluid flow is provided with an interlocking cut allowing the seal ring to be latched into a continuous ring after being opened to allow positioning in an accompanying annular groove.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 10, 1983
Date of Patent: August 6, 1985
    Assignee: J. I. Case Company
Inventors: George R. Vater, Aldo Allori
  • Patent number: 4473144
Abstract: A clutch hub for a motor vehicle transmission is used for transferring torque to a driven shaft rigidly and detachably connected thereto. The hub body comprises inclined tunnels with slanted corridors providing additional rotational effect and more even fluid distribution through intake ports. The hub also comprises a frusto-conical protuberance base blocking the fluid flow from a fluid intake chamber into a clutch hub chamber.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 18, 1982
Date of Patent: September 25, 1984
    Assignee: International Harvester Co.
    Inventor: Aldo Allori
  • Patent number: 4446953
Abstract: A hydraulic fluid shield and diverter encompassing the multiple disc clutch transmitting torque from input shaft to an output shaft, intensifying the cooling effect of the hydraulic fluid passing through the clutch and also reducing aeration of the fluid entering the vehicle hydraulic system.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 17, 1981
Date of Patent: May 8, 1984
    Assignee: International Harvester Co.
Inventors: Julian D. Voss, Aldo Allori, John A. Wilger
  • Patent number: 4407394
Abstract: A dynamic brake mount assembly is disposed within the fluid filled chamber and comprising a brake housing immobilizingly supported by an actuator mechanism housing on one side and by support elements attached to a chamber casing on the other side.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 10, 1981
Date of Patent: October 4, 1983
    Assignee: International Harvester Co.
Inventors: Aldo Allori, John A. Wilger, Julian D. Voss
  • Patent number: 4374375
Abstract: A probe mount assembly for a brake wear warning system comprising a probe electrically connected with a warning signal electric circuit and supported by and electrically insulated from one of friction plates by a nonrotatable bushing and a spacer disposed on the opposite sides of said one friction plate.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 13, 1981
Date of Patent: February 15, 1983
    Assignee: International Harvester Co.
Inventors: Aldo Allori, Ronald A. Koutsky, John A. Wilger
  • Patent number: 4354931
Abstract: A check valve assembly regulating the fluid flow between the fluid reservoir and filter cartridge chamber is actuated by a valve actuating member movable through and controllable exteriorly of a filter system housing without compromising the housing leak integrity. The actuating member may perform another function of a drain plug for the filter chamber, so that upon removal of the member the check valve assembly will be closed and the chamber fluid drained through a drain plug opening without loss of the reservoir fluid.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 13, 1981
Date of Patent: October 19, 1982
    Assignee: International Harvester Co.
Inventors: Aldo Allori, John A. Wilger, Thomas F. Reiff
  • Patent number: 3969034
Abstract: A wedge lock wheel assembly for mounting a tire rim in which the assembly includes a hub rigidly attached to the rim having a chamber with a centerline substantially perpendicular to the disk, a plurality of stops and a plurality of pairs of paired ramps with a known hardness having complex angles relative to the disks, a plurality of sets of paired wedges positioned within the chamber capable of relative motion therebetween and having an aperture passing through each of said pairs, a generally flat and bottom surface, a slope top surface and a hardness greater than the hardness of the ramps, a plurality of restraining members for limiting the motion between sets of said wedge pairs, an axle having horizontal contact surfaces with a hardness greater than the hardness of the wedges and a plurality of connecting elements passing through said wedge apertures for establishing contact between said ramps and said slope surfaces and between said bottom surfaces and said contact surfaces.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 18, 1975
Date of Patent: July 13, 1976
    Assignee: International Harvester Company
