  • Patent number: 4734056
Abstract: An electrical connector comprises a housing having a pair of identical half-shells (12, 12') adapted to be clamped together to contain a terminal block (13) terminating individual conductors of a flat cable (15) (FIGS. 1, 3) or wire bundles (16) (FIGS. 2, 4, 5). A pair of conductor locating members (18, 18') have opposite faces (31, 32) formed respectively with hooked flat cable engaging ribs (24) and wire bundle receiving openings (34) for clamping flat cable (15) or receiving wire bundles (16) between them respectively. A rear wall (22) of each housing shell (12, 12') is provided with knock-outs (27, 27') removable to provide apertures for wire bundles (16).

  • Patent number: 4549780
Abstract: An electrical connector housing assembly in which a housing shell (11, 11') is formed with a pair of spaced cable lead out openings (22, 22'; 23, 23') having axes inclined at an angle to each other. A plug member (34) is provided with adjustable cable clamping means (41, 44) and is receivable in either lead out opening (22, 22'; 23, 23') with the line of action of the cable clamping means (41, 44) inclined at an angle with the axis of the lead out opening (22, 22' or 23, 23') in which it is received, complimentary to the angle of inclination of their axes to exert a clamping force perpendicular to the axis of a cable (49) received in the other lead out opening (23, 23' or 22, 22').

  • Patent number: 4132874
Abstract: An electrical switch comprising two contacts each stamped and formed from a single piece of sheet metal stock and having a post and a receptacle portion comprising two opposed spring arms extending in flag fashion from the post, the two contacts being located in an insulating housing in spaced apart relation with mouths of their receptacle portions mutually opposed and the posts projecting out of the housing from the housing base, an elongate metal slider located in the housing in alignment with the mouths and slidable between first and second switching positions in which it is gripped by the arms of only one receptacle portion and of both receptacle portions respectively. The spring arms may be bowed inwardly to different radii at their free ends.

  • Patent number: 3941444
Abstract: A hollow sealing member open at one end for receiving an electrical connector has at its opposite end, a wall formed with a plurality of recesses closed by a frangible base. The shape of the recesses permits a relatively wide flat tab to be passed through the wall without reducing the sealing effect of the wall around the conductor to which the flat tab is crimped.
