Abstract: A method of forming a decorative design on the peripheral outer surface of a plastic flower pot. A plastic flower pot having an embossed decoration disposed on the outer peripheral surface thereof is vacuum formed within a mold having an embossed decoration disposed on the peripheral outer surface of the mold. A second method, forming an undistorted image on the outer peripheral surface of a flower pot formed by straight vacuum, includes bonding a decorative wrapper to the outer peripheral surface of a straight vacuum formed flower pot. A third embodiment pre-distorts an image formed on a sheet of plastic, which when stretched and distorted by the vacuum process, produces a flower pot having an undistorted image disposed on the outer peripheral surface of the flower pot.
