  • Patent number: 12295853
Abstract: Implants, device, systems and methods for replacing an articulation surface in a joint, for example, a glenoid implant with an articular surface and an opposing bone contacting surface having a ring and post extending therefrom that respectively mechanically connect with cortical bone and cancellous bone of a glenoid. Methods for implanting the glenoid implant are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20240350275
Abstract: A glenoid implant includes a baseplate, a pair of bone screws, and an augmentation member. The baseplate includes a plurality of screw holes with the pair of bone screws being positioned in two of the screw holes and the augmentation member being positioned in a third screw hole. The augmentation member includes a non-threaded post configured to abut the bottom of a bone defect. A method of installing a glenoid implant during an orthopaedic surgical procedure is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20240350274
Abstract: A glenoid implant of a shoulder prosthesis includes a baseplate having a shaft coupled to, and extending from a bottom surface, of its plate. The plate includes a peripheral ring extending downwardly away from, and circumferentially around, its bottom surface. The exterior surfaces of the peripheral ring have threads formed therein. A method of installing a glenoid implant during an orthopaedic surgical procedure is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20230093485
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed offset adapters, trial implant systems, shoulder implant systems, and methods for total shoulder replacement, wherein the eccentricity of a humeral head relative to a humeral anchor and resected proximal portion of a humerus is selectable by a surgeon. A humeral head implant system includes a humeral head, an adapter, and humeral anchor. An offset adapter is operable to connect the humeral head to a humeral anchor. The offset adapter includes a first tapered cylindrical portion having a first axis, a second tapered cylindrical portion having a second axis, and the first axis being eccentrically disposed relative to the second axis of the adapter. A trial humeral head system includes a trial humeral head, a pin guide, and a trial adapter.

  • Publication number: 20220265434
Abstract: A glenoid implant system for use in a reverse total shoulder replacement of a patient that includes a movable glenosphere, a baseplate, and a connector for movably connecting the glenosphere to the baseplate. The glenosphere and the baseplate are configured so that a central axis of the glenosphere is movable non-axially relative to a central axis of the baseplate. Further disclosed is a method having the steps of exposing and resecting a bone, securing a baseplate into the bone with the baseplate having a central axis, securing a glenosphere to the baseplate and non-axially moving the glenosphere relative to the central axis of the baseplate. Also disclosed is a method that includes the steps of rotating an arm in a medial direction, moving a glenosphere anteriorly relative to a baseplate attached to a glenoid, rotating the arm in a lateral direction, and moving the glenosphere posteriorly relative to the baseplate.
