Abstract: A system enables web-based teleconferencing. The system uses a voice services router connected to phone devices associated with respective web browser clients. The system also uses an application server connected to the voice services router for receiving conference call events for a conference call from the voice services router and for transmitting the conference call events to a message server. The application server is furthermore connected to the web browser clients associated with the phone devices for receiving conference commands from the web browser clients and for transmitting the conference commands received from the web browser clients to the voice services router. The message server is connected to both the application server and the web browser clients to thereby act as a message broker for receiving messages from the application server for the conference call and for communicating the messages for the conference call to the web browser clients.

Abstract: The present invention relates generally to the field of telecommunications and more particularly to a method of and system for organizing, prioritizing and placing a user's outgoing telephone calls. One embodiment of the invention allows a user to generate an electronic list of telephone calls to be made, the ordering of entries being made by priority level, higher priority entries being placed higher on the list than lower priority entries. The user simply requests that the next highest priority call in the list be made, and the method and system identifies the telephone number for the next party on the sorted list and places the call. Thus, the user can step through his list of calls without having to locate telephone numbers or waste time dealing with unimportant calls. Other embodiments allow the user to determine whether a potential callee is available, or willing to accept his call.

The invention includes a method of routing real-time communications including the steps of: obtaining rule preferences from a user, and responding to the receipt of a communication by determining the current contextual state of the user. Abstract: The present invention relates to telecommunication systems and more specifically, to a method of and system for responding to inquiries regarding user presence with respect to various communication systems. The invention provides a method of responding to a presence inquiry for a given user which includes the steps of establishing context parameters for the user, establishing rules to govern responses to presence inquiries, the rules relying on values/states of the context parameters, and determining values/states of context parameters at the time of the presence inquiry, including identifying the party making said inquiry. A presence response is then established with respect to the established rules and the values/states of the context parameters at time of the presence inquiry This presence response is then reported to the inquiring party.
