  • Patent number: 11142208
Abstract: Disclosed is a vehicle road load compensation system that includes an accelerator pedal, a throttle, a transmission wherein a vehicle torque is generated proportional to the transmission gear and the motor power, and a control unit disposed within the vehicle and configured to receive real-time sensor data relating to the road load of the vehicle. The control unit includes a real-time throttle map relating the accelerator pedal position to the throttle position, such that a given accelerator pedal position directs a corresponding target throttle position. The control unit also includes a real-time shift map relating a desired transmission gear to a current transmission gear, vehicle speed, and throttle position. In response to the sensor data, the control unit updates the throttle map and shift map such that the vehicle torque is altered based on the road load of the vehicle. The controller may also update a real-time torque converter lockup map.

  • Patent number: 10947804
Abstract: A system is disclosed as including a seal for sealing an area between a hanger and a housing of a wellhead. The seal is provided with at least a notch that defines at least a movable portion such as a wing or a lip. An e-ring is provided for a first energizing of the seal. The movable portion enables pressurized fluid from beneath the seal to cause the movable portion to protrude further against a mating side in the wellhead and the hanger for a second energizing of the seal. This type of seal maintains or improves the sealing of the wellhead in high pressure applications. Methods applied to the above seal are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 9940138
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are disclosed for using a register checkpointing mechanism to resolve multithreading mis-speculations. Valid architectural state is recovered and execution is rolled back. Some embodiments include memory to store checkpoint data. Multiple thread units concurrently execute threads. They execute a checkpoint mask instruction to initialize memory to store active checkpoint data including register contents and a checkpoint mask indicating the validity of stored register contents. As register contents change, threads execute checkpoint write instructions to store register contents and update the checkpoint mask. Threads also execute a recovery function instruction to store a pointer to a checkpoint recovery function, and in response to mis-speculation among the threads, branch to the checkpoint recovery function.
