  • Patent number: 12577053
Abstract: A shielded conveyor apparatus for use with a shredder machine to transfer shredded material. The conveyor apparatus includes a base supporting an inclined ramp with a bottom inlet and a top discharge. A conveyor belt, driven by a motor positioned adjacent the top discharge, is shielded along its length by a cover and viewable through sight glasses. The belt is formed with opposed side walls and spaced barrier walls extending from its surface to define material-carrying pockets that control the quantity of material transported while preventing spillage during rotation. The conveyor couples to a shredder machine housing one or more sets of shredder teeth driven by motors to process objects of varying sizes, including hard drives, solid state drives, CDs, and USB cards. Shredded material exits the shredder through a chute and enters the conveyor inlet for controlled transfer to a discharge or collection bin.

  • Publication number: 20260027567
Abstract: An apparatus for destroying electronic data and enabling selective material recovery is provided. A first stage shreds electronic waste into particles no greater than 20 mm by 20 mm. A second stage separates metal from non-metal using a belt-driven magnetic separator in which a continuous belt carries the particles across a magnet assembly; metal is removed to a first bin. A third stage shears the remaining non-metal to particles no greater than 2 mm by 2 mm, which pass a screen into a second bin. In certain embodiments, a vibratory feed ramp meters flow to the belt separator, and dust collection may be provided by a vacuum system and, optionally, a cyclone separator coupled by gasketed clamps.

  • Patent number: 12521763
Abstract: A centrifugal separator system separates particulate matter from an air stream produced by an industrial shredding machine. The system includes a housing having a cylindrical conical shape defining an interior chamber. An inlet positioned tangentially near the top of the housing introduces an air and particle mixture to create a vortex flow that centrifugally displaces heavier particles where they slide downward to discharge aperture. Clean air reverses direction and exits upward through a central top outlet connected to a HEPA filter for removing residual dust. A first silo directs is used to decelerate separated particles which are directed through a rotary valve providing an airlock to maintain pressures for optimizing centrifugal separation of particles. A second silo receives a bag holder for ease of securing a collection bag. The system provides efficient separation of particles with minimal maintenance and allows continuous operation.
