  • Patent number: 9357592
Abstract: A light source comprising a light emitter; a heat sink coupled to the light emitter; and a temperature sensor substantially adjacent to the light emitter. A first thermal time constant associated with the temperature sensor is less than a second thermal time constant associated with a radiation surface of the heat sink.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 18, 2010
Date of Patent: May 31, 2016
    Assignee: Phoseon Technology, Inc.
    Inventor: Alejandro V. Basauri
  • Publication number: 20130048885
Abstract: A lighting module has an electrically conductive heat sink, an array of light-emitting elements mounted on and electrically connected to the conductive heat sink, a flex circuit mounted on the conductive sink, and conductive traces on the flex circuit, the conductive traces connected to the light-emitting elements. A lighting module has a heat sink, an array of light-emitting elements, each element having a cathode terminal and an anode terminal, wherein the heat sink is a common terminal for the elements.

  • Publication number: 20120242765
Abstract: A lighting module has an array of solid state light emitters positioned to transmit ultraviolet light, a power supply electrically coupled to the array of solid state light emitters through a connector, and a transient voltage suppressor electrically coupled to the connector. A printing system includes a lighting module having an array of emitters, the lighting module electrically coupled to a power supply having a transient voltage suppressor, a print substrate delivery system positioned to receive light from the array of emitters, and an ink delivery system positioned to delivery ink to the print substrate such that the ink receives sufficient illumination from the lighting module to cure the ink. A lighting system has a lighting module having an array of light emitters, a power supply electrically coupled to the lighting module, and a transient voltage suppressor electrically coupled to the power supply.
