  • Patent number: 7793960
Abstract: A rear frame support structure mounts a bicycle wheel for rotation about an axis during bicycle motion, and has a pair of arms spaced axially apart of each other and axially offset from a same axial side of the wheel to enable axial movement of the wheel relative to the arms when the bicycle is not in motion. A drive mechanism is supported by both arms, for enabling the wheel to be driven during bicycle motion. The drive mechanism remains supported by both arms during the axial movement of the wheel.

  • Publication number: 20100052410
Abstract: A wheel with a removable hub axle cartridge configured to be fitted into a shaped recess hollow or cavity of the wheel at the central hub position. The hub axle cartridge, adapted for use with a rear wheel includes a clutch mechanism and is configured for supporting drive gears, in addition to providing engagement with the body frame for a front wheel. The removable hub axle cartridge provides various advantages including a reduced wheel weight, the ability to stably stack, store and ship the wheels in smaller packages. The hub axle cartridge is reusable in case of wheel damage or with use of a different wheel type.

  • Patent number: 6979012
Abstract: A rear wheel is axially removable from a bicycle frame after a support arm is pivoted away from an initial position overlying the rear wheel. A bicycle drive mechanism is not removed together with the rear wheel, but instead, is left mounted on another support arm. Both support arms straddle the rear wheel during bicycle use and are pivotable to fold the bicycle for compact storage.

  • Patent number: 6234068
Abstract: A food service system for supporting a tray includes a frame, a pair of legs pivoted to the frame, and a pair of heater supports pivoted to the legs. In a non-deployed state, the legs and heater supports lie in a common plane for compact transport and storage. In the deployed state, the legs diverge from the frame, and the heater supports extend in a plane below the frame.
