  • Patent number: 9415483
Abstract: A buffing pad is comprised of a hub with a central opening for attaching the same to a power buffer. The pad includes a layer of tufted wool or other fibrous buffing medium spaced from but surrounding the hub and a block of material such as a cylindrical block of foam positioned between the fibrous buffing medium and the hub. The block of material includes an aperture therethrough that is in alignment with the central opening in the hub. The dimensions of the block of material are such as to prevent tufts of the fibrous buffing medium from entering the central opening of the hub and interfering with the ability of the buffing pad to be attached to the power buffer.

  • Publication number: 20150357847
Abstract: A belt battery charger includes a belt (10) having a first end (14), a second end (20) and an elongated central portion (12). A plurality of electrically connected rechargeable batteries (28, 30, 32) are carried by the central portion of the belt. A belt buckle (14) located at the first end of the belt includes a frame (16) and a prong (18) in the form of an electrical connector electrically connected to the batteries and pivotally secured to the frame. The second end of the belt includes a number of spaced apart eyelets (22, 24, 26) passing therethrough. The prong (18) is shaped so as to be able to enter one of the eyelets to secure the second end of the belt to the buckle. A second electrical connector (36) is located adjacent the second end of the belt and is also connected to the batteries.

  • Patent number: 9041352
Abstract: A belt battery charger includes a belt having a first end, a second end and an elongated central portion extending between the first and second ends. A plurality of electrically connected rechargeable batteries are carried by the central portion of the belt. A belt buckle located at the first end of the belt includes a frame that is secured to the central portion of the belt. The buckle further includes a prong in the form of an electrical connector electrically connected to the batteries and pivotally secured to the frame. The second end of the belt includes a number of spaced apart eyelets passing therethrough. The prong is shaped so as to be able to enter one of the eyelets to secure the second end of the belt to the buckle in the conventional manner. A second electrical connector is located adjacent the second end of the belt and is also connected to the batteries. One of said connectors is adapted to be connected to a cell phone for charging the same.

  • Publication number: 20120052780
Abstract: A backing plate for a buffing pad is comprised of a substantially circular disc having first and second surfaces that are adapted to be connected to the nonworking faces of first and second buffing media to form a two-sided buffing pad. The disc has a central hub with an axial opening therein that is adapted to connect the plate to a shaft of a power buffer. The opening is essentially hexagonally shaped in that it is formed of six straight walls. The ends of adjacent walls are spaced apart from each other by circular recesses and do not directly connect to each other.
