  • Patent number: 12497015
Abstract: A device for detecting a clamping force of a brake caliper of a vehicle braking system is provided. The device has a force sensor, a force transmitting element suitable for transmitting the clamping force exerted by the brake caliper to the force sensor, and a mechanical limit stop element. The force transmitting element is movable when subjected to the clamping force exerted by the brake caliper. The force sensor is configured to measure the clamping force up to a sensor force threshold value that is lower than a maximum clamping force exertable by the brake caliper. The mechanical limit stop element is configured to be engaged by the force transmitting element when the clamping force exceeds the sensor force threshold value.

  • Publication number: 20250196833
Abstract: A brake caliper has a caliper body having two side walls delimiting a disc space for accommodating a portion of a brake disc, a connection structure extending straddling the disc space and connecting the side walls to each other, and a pad housing for accommodating at least one pad. A transmission housing is connected to the caliper body so that a front wall of the transmission housing faces the disc space. Thrust members bias the pads against the brake disc along an actuation axis. A control housing supports and houses an electric motor having a drive shaft. and configured to generate and transfer mechanical power to the thrust members. A brake control unit controls the electric motor. The drive shaft protrudes from a front side of the electric motor facing the caliper body. The brake control unit has an electronic board extending in a transverse direction with respect to the actuation axis.

  • Publication number: 20240239321
Abstract: A braking system for a motorcycle has a first braking device operatively connected to a first wheel of the motorcycle and having a first hydraulic supply circuit, a first electric actuator operatively connected to a first electrically or electro-mechanically actuated piston, and a first interface port operatively connected to a first hydraulic device provided with a first manually actuated piston subdivided into a first direct piston and a first indirect piston hydraulically connected to the first hydraulic supply circuit through a first by-pass duct. A hydraulic fluid reservoir is connected to the first hydraulic device by an upstream connection duct of the first indirect piston and a downstream connection duct of the first indirect piston.

  • Publication number: 20230035196
Abstract: An adjustable pressure simulator device for vehicle braking systems of the brake-by-wire type may have an absorber body enclosing a first cylinder and a second cylinder fluidically communicating with each other and at least partially filled with a fluid. The first cylinder houses a first piston subject to the thrust action of the fluid and biased by a first elastic device which opposes the thrust action applied by the fluid. The second cylinder houses a second piston subject to the thrust action of the fluid and biased by a second elastic device which opposes the thrust action applied by the fluid. The first and the second elastic devices have different rigidities so as to induce the displacement of the second piston only after having reached a predetermined stroke of the first piston, under the thrust action of said fluid.
