Abstract: In a method for managing access by a user device to multimedia services delivered by a communication system, the user device accesses the multimedia services through a Radio Access Technology (RAT). An information element sent to the user device from the communication system includes restriction information that indicates the types of RAT that the user device may use to access the multimedia services. The restriction information also includes the types of RAT that the user device cannot use to access the multimedia services. The information element also includes additional restriction information indicating the multimedia services that can be accessed by the user device, and the multimedia services that cannot be accessed by the user device. The additional restriction information is based on subscription information for the user device.

Abstract: A sensor arrangement used for measuring fouling and/or erosion in a machine. A first piezoelectric transducer, a first plate and eventually a first support member form a first vibrating mass. After electrically stimulating the first piezoelectric transducer, the first vibrating mass starts vibrating mechanically and consequently the first piezoelectric transducer generates an electric resonance vibration; the electric resonance vibration is at a resonance frequency depending on the mass of the first vibrating mass. If the mass of the first vibrating mass changes due to fouling and/or erosion by a flow of working fluid in the machine, also the electric resonance vibration frequency changes; such vibration frequency change may be measured and the corresponding mass change may be determined by comparison with a vibration frequency of a second vibrating mass not exposed to the flow of working fluid in the machine.

Abstract: A method for managing an Evolved Packet System is provided. The Evolved Packet System comprises a core network including a database configured to store User Identifying Information of user devices attached to the Evolved Packet System, and at least one external server. The method comprises having a user device attached to the Evolved Packet System request IP services to the external server; in response to said requesting IP services, having the external server request the User Identifying Information of said user device to the core network; in response to said requesting the User Identifying Information, having the core network access the database and retrieve the User Identifying Information of said user device; having the core network send the retrieved User Identifying Information to the external server; having the external server provide the requested IP services to the user device by exploiting said retrieved User Identifying Information.

Abstract: In a machine, for example a centrifugal compressor, erosion and/or corrosion of a part of the machine exposed to a working fluid to be processed by the machine is/are monitored; a corrosion probe and/or an erosion probe is/are suitably positioned inside the machine; the corrosion probe and/or the erosion probe is provided with a measurement element that is exposed to the working fluid when the machine operates; the measurement element is made of the same material of the part to be monitored so that the measurement element and the part are eroded and/or corroded in the same or similar way and/or at the same or similar rate. Corrosion and/or erosion data detected by the probe are transmitted from the probe to an electronic unit.

Abstract: A system and computer-implemented method for monitoring and diagnosing anomalies in a wheel-space of a gas turbine is implemented using a computer device coupled to a user interface and a memory device and includes storing a plurality rule sets in the memory device, the rule sets relative to the wheel-space, the rule sets including at least one rule expressed as a relational expression of a real-time data output relative to a real-time data input, the relational expression being specific to a temperature of the wheel-space. The method also includes receiving real-time and historical data inputs from a condition monitoring system associated with the gas turbine, the data inputs relating to sources providing heat to the wheel-space and estimating a wheel-space temperature value using the inputs relating to a temperature of the wheel-space.

Abstract: A system and method for monitoring and diagnosing anomalies in a diffusion or dry low NOX combustion system of a gas turbine, the method including storing a plurality rule sets specific to a temperature spread of the gas turbine exhaust. The method further including determining an anomaly in the performance of the gas turbine using at least one of a swirl angle of the exhaust flow, a health of a plurality of flame detectors of the gas turbine, and a transfer of the gas turbine from a first mode of operation to a second lower NOX mode of operation, and recommending to an operator of the gas turbine a set of corrective actions to correct the anomaly.

Abstract: In an internet protocol multimedia subsystem architecture including multiple home subscriber servers, an apparatus (home subscriber server proxy) is interposed between a call session controlling function and/or an application server and the multiple home subscriber servers for adapting signaling messages exchanged between the call session controlling function (and/or the application server) and the home subscriber servers, so as to overcome interoperability issues. Such apparatus can be exploited for correctly routing the signaling messages toward the home subscriber server, thus rendering unnecessary the presence of a service locator function in a multi home subscriber server internet protocol multimedia subscription architecture.
