When the cleaning appliance is disposed in the cleaning apparatus, the water reservoir is associated with an edge of the cleaning appliance that is spaced apart from the brush roller, and the brush roller at least partially abuts a bottom of the depression. A cleaning system is also provided that includes the cleaning apparatus and the cleaning appliance.
