  • Publication number: 20240167302
Abstract: An electronic closure latch assembly for a vehicle, the electronic closure latch assembly comprising: an enclosure cover; a component portion of the enclosure cover sized to retain an electrical component therein, the component portion having an interior having a plurality of compression elements distributed on an interior surface of the interior; an electronic controller disposed within the enclosure cover, the electronic controller including the electrical component; wherein the plurality of compression elements are deformed against an exterior surface of the electrical component when the electrical component is inserted into the component portion of the enclosure cover.

  • Publication number: 20210372169
Abstract: A latch assembly for a closure panel of a vehicle includes a power release actuator, a pawl, a ratchet, and a multi-stage geartrain. The multi-stage geartrain includes a first compound gear and a second sector gear in meshed engagement with the compound gear. The sector gear includes an arm extending radially therefrom. In a rest position, a gap is defined between the arm and a cam surface of a pawl. Actuation of the power release actuator actuates the multi-stage geartrain and pivots the arm through the gap and into contact with the pawl. During pivoting through the gap, inertia is increased and the arm contacts the pawl with an impulse force. Continued rotation of the arm causes further rotation of the pawl and release of the ratchet. The arm is disposed within an axial height defined by the multi-stage geartrain, and torque applied to the arm increases during rotation.

  • Patent number: 7866229
Abstract: An automatic length compensating device (30) for a flexible cable transmission (8) having a core (12) sliding inside a sheath (10). The device (30) has a first and a second member (31, 32) inserted at least partly one inside the other in a predetermined direction (B) and defining, in that direction (B), respective through seats (33, 34) fitted through with the core (12) of the transmission (8); elastic means (35) interposed between the first and second member (31, 32), and which provide for increasing mutual withdrawal of the first and second member (31, 32); and releasable locking means (50) defining a number of mutually engaged positions of the first and second member (31, 32) corresponding to different extensions of the device (30) in the aforementioned direction (B).
