  • Patent number: 8056550
Abstract: Block-cutting gangsaw with vertical frame for cutting granite or other hard materials, comprising a blade-holding frame (19) that is supported with the possibility of reciprocating movement on an independent oscillating frame (40) which imparts the oscillating movement to it, so that each blade (20) of blade-holding frame (19) is always in contact with workpiece (18), and the contact area moves along a convex, curved trajectory.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 6, 2007
Date of Patent: November 15, 2011
    Assignee: Quarella S.p.A.

  • Publication number: 20090047503
Abstract: Agglomerated stone products consisting of powders and granules of marble or limestone in general, granite, quartz and silica or feldspathic sands mixed wiht resins, wherein nanometric particles of titanium dioxide are incorporated therein and process for their manufacture. Tiles and slabs for flooring, wall covering or work surface are able to interact with the surrounding environment by reducing the chemical and biological pollutants in the air and the bacteria with which the surfaces come into contact, because a photocatalytic preparation of nanometer-sized titanium dioxide is added to its composition.

  • Publication number: 20070219288
Abstract: This invention relates to an agglomerated stone product which, in its finished form, can be used as a flooring, wall covering or work surface able to interact with the surrounding environment by reducing the pollutants in the air and the bacteria with which the surfaces come into in contact, because a photocatalytic preparation of nanometre-sized titanium dioxide is added to its composition.

  • Patent number: 7030198
Abstract: A curable composition includes an unsaturated polyester and an unsaturated monomer copolymerisable with the unsaturated polyester in the presence of polymerisation accelerators and initiators. The unsaturated polyester is an epoxidised unsaturated polyester obtainable by reaction between unsaturated polyester obtainable by reaction between the carboxy end groups of a polyester having unsaturated monomer units and the epoxy groups of an epoxy resin.

  • Patent number: 6886304
Abstract: The invention concerns a product and the relative manufacturing process, said product, including at least a precast support (2) of expanded material and at least a layer (3) of agglomerated stone material in form of granulates bound by a binding phase, over at least one surface of said expanded support (2). According to suitability, the product (1) is made by a sandwich structure with an intermediate layer of expanded material and two surface coatings of stone material. The product (1) can also have a complex or modular shape, from which it is possible to cut and eventually to work finished pieces of predetermined dimensions. The main advantage of the invention consists in obtaining a finished product (1, 10, 100) lighter than a product made of agglomerated stones homogeneous in the thickness.
