  • Patent number: 9671903
Abstract: An apparatus has a first ring of infrared emitters and a second ring of infrared detectors positioned adjacent to the first ring. A controller applies signals to the first ring and collects signals from the second ring.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: June 6, 2017
    Assignee: Sensing Electromagnetic Plus Corp.
Inventors: Matteo Piovanelli, Alessandro Levi, Silvano Furlan
  • Patent number: 9613436
Abstract: An apparatus includes a processor and a memory connected to the processor. The memory stores instructions executed by the processor to perform a transformation on a detected signal that has penetrated an object of interest to form a sinogram. The sinogram is a sine-based representation of the detected signal. A feature of interest is identified in the sinogram. A tomogram corresponding to the detected signal is reconstructed. The instructions to reconstruct utilize the feature of interest to determine at least one attribute of the tomogram.

  • Patent number: 7665034
Abstract: A system and method for accelerating scrolling of a display is disclosed. When a wheel of a wheeled pointing device is actuated by a user at a first rotational rate, the display in a window scrolls up or down one line at a time. When the wheel is rotated at a second rotational rate, the display in the window scrolls up or down multiple lines at a time. In additional embodiments, the scrolling technique shifts from one line at a time/multiple lines at a time to a page or pages at a time when the wheel is rotated for at a rotational rate for a minimum period of time.
