  • Patent number: 11787476
Abstract: A motor vehicle has a passenger compartment and two side members provided with respective rear portions, arranged longitudinally at the passenger compartment, and respective struts, which project forward of the passenger compartment; the motor vehicle has a crossbar with front attachment portions and rear attachment portions fixed to the side members by means of connecting devices, so as to keep the crossbar suspended in relation to the struts; the connecting devices have at least one weakened zone, designed so as to cause at least part of the crossbar to detach from the side members when a given load threshold is exceeded; the connecting devices have a first pierced wall, which is part of the front or rear attachment portions, a second pierced wall, which is part of the side members, and a bolt that tightens the first and second wall together; the weakened zone is defined by at least one slot cut in the first wall, beginning from a hole edge of the first wall itself.

  • Patent number: 11407266
Abstract: A motor-vehicle wheel support unit includes a first base body provided with attachments for connection to arms of a motor-vehicle suspension, and a second body for rotatably supporting a wheel hub, which is separate with respect to the first base body and is secured to the first base body in one of two different selectable mounting positions, which correspond to two different vertical positions, with reference to a condition of use, of an axis of the wheel hub with respect to the first base body. In this manner, a height of the vehicle from the ground can be modified by simply mounting said second body on the first body in one or the other of the two mounting positions. In each of the two mounting positions, the second body is rotated by 180° around an axis parallel to the wheel hub axis with respect to the other mounting position.

  • Publication number: 20220119036
Abstract: A motor vehicle with driving and steering rear wheels—comprises includes a rear suspension system having a support frame mounted on the vehicle body. For each rear wheel, a wheel support is connected to the frame by oscillating arms. An actuator is mounted on the frame, with control rods, protruding from opposite ends of the actuator body, and connected to the wheel supports by control arms. Within a space between the rear wheels, there is a rear motor or differential. The actuator body is mounted on the frame along a transverse direction spaced apart from an axis of the rear wheels to avoid interference with the motor or differential. The control arms are substantially parallel to a transverse direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, or form an angle therewith not exceeding 15 degrees. The control rods are connected to the control arms with the interposition of a transmission.

  • Publication number: 20130277898
Abstract: A safety device withholds an elastic support associated to the top end of the stem of a motor vehicle shock absorber. The device includes a safety member configured for engaging a metal reinforcement of the elastic support. The safety member includes a metal structure provided with a coating of elastomeric material, so as to close completely and in a fluid-tight way the cavity in which the stem of the shock absorber is received, thus also reducing noise.
