Abstract: A system and method are provided for using networked computer devices to access remote collaborative learning resources. The method uses a student computing device to establish a network-connection with an education program, accesses a problem set screen, and selects a problem. If an incorrect answer is submitted to the problem, the student application has the option of accessing a remote education program collaborative learning resource associated with the selected problem. Subsequent to accessing the collaborative learning resource, the student application submits a problem answer to the education program. In response to the resource flag and the submission of a correct problem answer, the education program grants partial credit to the student application or a user identity associated with the student application. Optionally, the problem answers may be submitted with a problem work area screen. The problem work area screen is frozen once the student application accesses a collaborative learning resource.

Abstract: According to one embodiment of the invention, a method comprises recovering a product identifier downloaded from portable electronic device, and thereafter, searching a database by the portable electronic device. This search uses a product identifier to uncover any occurrences of the product associated with the product identifier in a database containing multiple products from multiples retailers. Thereafter, a message including a name of one or more merchants selling the product or an item equivalent to the product, and a price of the product or the item equivalent to the product is returned.

Abstract: An electronic device for holding medicines, typically pills, to be taken at different times and to remind the user to take particular pills at specific times. A first container has a plurality of pill holding compartments, with a hinged lid closing each compartment. A second container, which is releasably fastenable to the first compartment, contains a microprocessor, an alarm, a display and buttons for controlling the microprocessor to display different information. The display can be set to show the time, times for taking pills from different compartments, whether pills have been taken on time, if a pill has been missed or skipped, when the last pill has been taken, etc. When a time set for taking a pill arrives, an alarm, typically a light and/or sound alarm, alerts the user as to the compartment holding the pill to be taken.

Abstract: An edible assembly is provided with an edible portion composed of an edible material, a lenticular viewing element disposed within the edible portion, and a handle that supports the edible portion and the viewing element. The viewing element includes a first viewing side, a first image associated with the first viewing side and a second image associated with the first viewing side. The images are disposed so that the first image is visible when the first viewing side of the viewing element is disposed at a first viewing angle and so that the second image is visible when the first viewing side of the viewing element is disposed at a second viewing angle different than the first viewing angle. The viewing element may be a lenticular assembly having two lenticular sheets, each of which comprises a plurality of plastic grooves disposed over a plurality of images.
