The assembly has a cylindrical housing having a hollow interior and a cartridge sub-assembly housed in the cylindrical housing. The cartridge sub-assembly has a sensor element, a first printed circuit board (PCB) securing the sensor element in a holding position, and a first potting sealing the first PCB and the sensor element in the holding position. The cartridge sub-assembly is secured in the hollow interior by a second potting. Additionally, a method of manufacturing the sensor assembly and an array of sensor assemblies are disclosed.
