    Abstract: The present invention provides methods of treating, inhibiting or preventing pathogenic change resulting from vascular injury in a subject, particularly restenosis resulting substantially from angioplasty. The methods comprise administering a therapeutically-effective amount of an aldosterone antagonist, particularly eplerenone, in a mammalian subject susceptible to or suffering from said pathogenic change.
