  • Patent number: 8852234
Abstract: An apparatus for anchoring a rod to a bone fastener in a spine stabilization system. A first resilient insert may have two deflectable arms and a first channel formed therein. A second resilient insert may have two deflectable arms and a second channel formed therein. A cylindrical body may have a passage, wherein the first resilient insert and the second resilient insert have a width greater than the inner diameter of the cylindrical body when the first resilient insert is in a neutral state. Advancement of the first resilient insert or the second resilient insert into the passage deflects the two deflectable arms inward, causing the width of the first or second channel to decrease, and inhibiting the first resilient insert or the second resilient insert from moving relative to the cylindrical body.

  • Patent number: 8167914
Abstract: A spine stabilization system having collars, resilient inserts and pins for coupling a rod to bone fasteners. A bone fastener may be advanced into a vertebral body. A first collar having a set of deflectable arms and a channel in a first end and an opening in the second end recessing to form a cavity may be positioned with the head of the bone fastener in the cavity. A rod may be advanced into the channel in the first end of each collar. The deflectable arms may have a set of recessed portions. The recessed portions may have an angular or arcuate profile. A resilient insert may be advanced into the collar and positioned in the recessed portions, with the bottom surface of the resilient insert in contact with the rod. A pin may be inserted in the resilient insert to inhibit removal of the resilient insert.

  • Patent number: 7529985
Abstract: A method and device for interleaving the (N+1) input data and for allocating the corresponding memory comprises the steps of allocating a mth buffer section equals to (m×Dm+Pm) memory address for buffering the mth data of the N+1 input data, where m is a nonnegative integer from 0, 1 to N, Dm is the delay of the mth data, and Pm is a nature number representing a predetermined number of memory address for extra buffering the mth data; assigning an empty memory address in the mth buffer section to buffer the mth data; accessing the mth data from where the mth data buffered after buffering the (N+1) data, and outputting the (N+1) data in a (m×Dm) delay sequence. The present invention allocates the memory address effectively, so applying the present invention economizes the use of the memory request.

  • Patent number: 7136323
Abstract: Apparatus and method for generating a variable-frequency clock is disclosed. A control state machine defines various commands and generates corresponding control signals. A variable-frequency clock generator then outputs the variable-frequency clock that has a specific pattern corresponding with the respective command, where the variable-frequency clock is constructed with a first clock and a second clock having a frequency different from the first clock. A control signals generator accordingly outputs the control signals that are also constructed with the first clock and the second clock.
