A user can select a source image from the set of images as an initial composite image. A region, representing a set of pixels to be replaced, is chosen by the user in the composite image. A corresponding same region is reflected in one or more source images, one of which will be selected by the user for painting into the composite image. The technique optimizes the selection of pixels around the user-chosen region or regions for cut points that will be least likely to show seams where the source images are merged in the composite image.

Abstract: A system and method for editing images. A simple but powerful image stack is employed in creating an enhanced image from a stack of registered images. This paradigm combines pixels using multi-image operations on the image stack. Image Stacks can help create group photographs, create high dynamic range images, combine images captured under different lighting conditions, remove unwanted objects from images, and combine images captured at different times and with different focal lengths.

Abstract: A software object security mechanism addresses system security risks that arise due to interactions between software objects. Conditions are imposed on the accessing of targets by accessing object instances according to attributes of the accessing object and the target object that is being accessed. One security feature is that an owner identifier is incorporated into objects. The owner identifier includes identification of the user, person, or entity (e.g., corporation) who or that creates the object, or identification of a computer system used by the user, person, or entity to create the object definition. The owner identifier provides a basis for distinguishing the creator of an object from the user of that object. Another security feature is a set of access authorizations that allow different access rights to be made available to different object creators. In one implementation the access authorizations are All, Owner, and Exemplar.
