Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to paper and textile based materials with associated protective coatings or coverings. Many products, such as identification documents, experience wear and tear as they are subsequently used, scratched, exposed to elements or tampered with. This invention provides methods, apparatuses, and systems to protect an element or product, such as an identification document, from wearing, weathering, tampering and other detrimental outside effects through the use of a surrounding coating or covering such a polyolefin based coating, of which in some embodiments, includes ingenious features such as a monobloc structure, multiple layers, a porous matrix, among others.
