  • Patent number: 11019115
Abstract: A solution for objects in a publish-subscribe environment is described. An object determining unit determines an object identifier for the object, whereas a recipient determining unit determines a recipient identifier for the recipient which shall manipulate the object. An object request comprising at least the object identifier and the recipient identifier is then output to the publish-subscribe environment. Recipients of the object request check whether manipulation of an object is required and manipulate the object as required.

  • Patent number: 10375124
Abstract: A method for initiating a session within a publish/subscribe network, comprises: publishing a first topic by a first user interface of a first device, the topic identifying the first user interface and including an address-identifier identifying a second user interface of another device, triggering a request to start a session, starting a first media endpoint (43, 44) by publishing the media endpoint to the network by using a second topic for the media end point representing the media end point and describing the capabilities of the media endpoint, and linking the first media endpoint with a second media endpoint (45, 46) of the second user interface (42), when the second user interface has accepted the session.

  • Publication number: 20180173593
Abstract: Electronic devices having limited memory resources cannot function in a reliable manner when the memory resources have run out. In order to manage such a situation and keep the electronic device operating, a mechanism, called Out Of Memory killer, may be implemented in the electronic device. Such an OOM killer, when an out of memory situation arises, randomly selects a program running on the electronic device and terminates it. The disclosure describes associating a weight to a program running on the electronic device which enables it to determine which programs can be terminated because they are not considered essential and those which cannot be terminated without causing a negative impact on the quality of experience of an end-user. Lower weights are associated with programs that can be terminated, higher weights are associated to essential programs.

  • Publication number: 20180152854
Abstract: The invention concerns transmission interfaces steering mechanisms in order to improve the transmission of data between communication devices embedding a plurality of transmission interfaces. Known band steering mechanisms do not provide an efficient traffic load balancing between the two frequency bands which leaves part of the wireless communication capacities unused. To overcome these drawbacks, it is proposed to determine, among a plurality of transmission interfaces embedded in a communication device, which transmission interface to be used for transmitting the data to another communication device. Such a method enables traffic-load balancing between a plurality of transmission interfaces embedded in the communication devices. Such a method enables a communication device to transmit data packets simultaneously on a plurality of transmission interfaces to one or more communication devices.

  • Patent number: 9986039
Abstract: The network for multimedia control comprises User Interfaces, Session Controllers and Media Endpoints as functional entities for initiating a session, the entities having each publisher and/or subscriber functionality and communicating on topics. The network is in particular a Data Distribution Service for Real-Time Systems (DDS) network and the entities act as Domain Participants of the DDS network for providing multimedia signalling control as a domain of the DDS network.

  • Patent number: 8411678
Abstract: The present invention concerns a gateway and a method at a gateway for providing multiple accesses to an IP based network, the gateway comprising an interface to a first network, an interface to a second network, the gateway being connected to the IP based network with a first network provider on a first connection through the second network. The method comprises the steps of detecting a request from a device located on the first network to connect to the IP based network with a second network provider, setting up a second connection to the IP based network through the second network with a second network provider, and connecting the device to the IP based network with the second connection.
