  • Publication number: 20240089670
Abstract: A method, including capturing first sound with a hearing prosthesis, classifying the first sound using the hearing prosthesis according to a first feature regime, capturing second sound with the hearing prosthesis, and classifying the second sound using the hearing prosthesis according to a second feature regime different from the first feature regime.

  • Patent number: 11919129
Abstract: A power tool and method of detecting impacts of a power tool that includes a motor driving a hammer to impact an anvil. A motor control unit is configured to determine a motor characteristic indicative of a speed of the motor. When the motor characteristic indicates that the speed of the motor is below a speed threshold, the motor control unit employs an acceleration-based technique to detect a first impact based on a change in motor acceleration and generate a first impact indication in response to detecting the first impact. When the motor characteristic indicates that the speed is above the speed threshold, the motor control unit employs a time-based technique to detect a second impact based on an elapsed time and generates a second impact indication in response to detecting the second impact.

  • Publication number: 20190374067
Abstract: A module includes a housing and an agitator. The housing defines a cavity and includes a boss that extends from a first end of the housing into the interior cavity towards a second opposing end of the housing. The boss has an exterior surface and defines an inner bore. The boss includes a flange extending outwardly from the exterior surface. The agitator includes a base, a shaft, and a mixing element. The shaft of the agitator extends from the base and is slidable relative to the inner bore of the boss such that the agitator is movable between a fully retracted position, a partially extended position, and a fully extended position. The mixing element of the agitator extends from the base and includes a portion that is configured to engage the flange of the boss in a non-rotational fashion in response to the agitator being in the partially extended position.

  • Patent number: 7057111
Abstract: A cable assembly for an electrosurgical pencil comprises a power and signal transmitting multiple-core cable with an attachment plug, in which the power transmitting core has more conductors and thicker insulation than the two signal transmitting cores. The attachment plug has plastic plug-pins with spring-steel strips, or has metal plug-pins with recesses on the plug body near the plug-pins, to increase the flexibility to mate with any loose or tight socket. The cable assembly of this invention is cheaper in cost, lighter in weight, thinner in outside diameter, more flexible in total length and provides a more stable plug-socket connection.

  • Publication number: 20030165139
Abstract: Packet routing via payload inspection at routers in a core of a distributed network. Packets include subjects and attributes in addition to routing information. The subjects correspond with particular types of content for subscriptions, and the attributes encapsulate the data or content. The routers store, process, and propagate filters corresponding with subscriptions to content. Upon receiving a packet, a router inspects the payload section of the packet containing the attributes in order to retrieve the subject and the attributes and apply them to the filters for the subscriptions. If an attribute satisfies a filter, the packet is routed to the next link. If the attributes do not satisfy the filters, the router discards the packet. These routing decisions are distributed among routers in the network core.
