  • Patent number: 9086727
Abstract: A directional feedback device generating a directional force feedback in free space. The device includes a force generation structure including a rotatable mass creating a physical force vector in three dimensional space. A wireless communication device and a control system communicatively coupled to the wireless communication device and the force generation system are provided. The control system receives a definition of the physical force vector to be generated from an application executing in a processing device. The control system provides instructions to the force generation system to generate the physical force vector using the force generation structure. The force generation system, the wireless communication device and the control system are enclosed in a housing.

  • Patent number: 8878656
Abstract: Technology is presented for generating directional force feedback in free space to a user using a mass rotatable about a movable axis. The mass and movable axis are responsive to a control signal to generate a force vector having a direction and a magnitude in three-dimensional space to provide feedback to the user. The force vector is created in response to an event in application executing in a processing device. The force vector represents feedback regarding an event in the application.

  • Publication number: 20120162362
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for mapping a sound spatialization field to a displayed panoramic image as the viewing angle of the panoramic image changes. As the viewing angle of the image data changes, the audio data is processed to rotate the captured sound spatialization field to the same extent. Thus, the audio data remains mapped to the image data whether the image data is rotated about a single axis or about more than one axis.

  • Publication number: 20120154518
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for generating panoramic stereoscopic images. The system includes an assembly of three or more catadioptric image sensors affixed to each other in a chassis. Each image sensor generates a catadioptric image of a panorama, which may for example be a 360° view of a scene. The software components process the catadioptric image to a 3D stereoscopic view of a panorama.

  • Publication number: 20120159327
Abstract: A system allows users to interact with traditionally one-way entertainment content. The system is aware of the interaction and will behave appropriately using event data associated with the entertainment content. The event data includes information for a plurality of events. Information for an event includes references to software instructions and audio/visual content items used by the software instructions. When an event occurs, the software instructions are invoked. This system may be enabled over both recorded content and live content, as well as interpreted and compiled applications.

  • Publication number: 20120154548
Abstract: Methods are disclosed for capturing image data from three or more image sensors, and for processing the captured image data into left views of a panorama taken from each image sensor and right views taken of the panorama from each image sensor. The left views are combined and used as the left perspective of the panorama, and the right views are combined as used as the right perspective of the panorama, in the stereoscopic view.

  • Publication number: 20120154519
Abstract: A chassis assembly is disclosed including a chassis and plurality of image sensors fixedly mounted to the chassis. The number of image sensors may vary, but in one example, there are three image sensors, arranged in an equilateral triangle within the chassis. Each image sensor includes a camera, which may be a video camera, and a catadioptric mirror. The mirror in each image sensor is fixedly mounted with respect to the camera via a stem and a collar for mounting the mirror to the chassis.
