  • Patent number: 11486662
Abstract: A heat exchange assembly includes an upper cover panel, a lower cover panel, a plurality of stacked plate assemblies, and a plurality of fins interposed between the plurality of plate assemblies. Each of the plurality of plate assemblies forms a flow passage for receiving a coolant. A continuous flow path extends through the heat exchange assembly. The flow path is in fluid communication with the flow passage of each of the plates and configured to convey air from each of the flow passages to an environment separate from the heat exchanger.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 18, 2019
Date of Patent: November 1, 2022
    Assignee: HANON SYSTEMS
Inventors: Stephen Joyce, Leo Somhorst, Alex McDonnell

  • Publication number: 20190063849
Abstract: A housing for a heat exchanger comprising includes a first housing portion having and a second housing portion. The first housing portion has a U-shaped cross-section. The second housing portion cooperates with the first housing portion to define a chamber. The chamber receives a heat exchange assembly. The second housing portion is configured as a plate.

  • Publication number: 20120298344
Abstract: A header for a heat exchanger includes an elongate header plate having a pair of substantially parallel long edges. The header plate includes an elongate slot extending in a first direction across the header plate and a pair of ridges extending in a second direction along the header plate. The second direction is substantially perpendicular to the first direction. Edge regions of the header plate are formed on sides of the ridges adjacent the long edges. At least one of the edge regions lie in a first plane and crests of the ridges lie in a second plane. The first plane is substantially parallel to and offset from the second plane.

  • Patent number: 6244565
Abstract: An electronic throttle control system with a housing having a motor, throttle valve and gear mechanism. The throttle valve is attached to a throttle body shaft which is mounted in bearings in the housing. An axial spring clip mechanism mounted on the throttle body shaft preloads the bearings and eliminates undesired axial and radial movement of the shaft which could adversely affect the movement of the throttle valve and the sensing of its position.

  • Patent number: 6095488
Abstract: An electronic throttle control system having a housing with a motor, throttle valve, gear mechanism, and fail-safe mechanism. A spring member attached to a gear member and default lever, and which is biased when the throttle valve is in its fully open and closed positions, operates to open the throttle valve in the event of an electric failure, thus allowing the vehicle to limp home. An adjustable pin member is used to adjust the position of the default lever and thus the throttle valve in a fail-safe situation.

  • Patent number: 6070852
Abstract: An electronic throttle control system having a housing with a motor, throttle valve, gear mechanism, and fail-safe mechanism. A spring member attached to a gear member and default lever, and which is biased when the throttle valve is in its fully open and closed positions, operates to open the throttle valve in the event of an electric failure, thus allowing the vehicle to limp home. The spring member, default lever and associated gear member are interfit together as a group and inserted in the housing as a subassembly, thus improving assembly time and expense.
