Abstract: A device (1) for conveying a load from a first to a second level, in particular a stair lift (4), comprising a rail (3) and a frame (9) which is movable along said rail (3), on which a load carrier (10) is mounted and which is provided with support and guide means (16, 17, 33, 36) that engage around at least part of the rail (3), which rail (3) extends above steps of a staircase near a wall or a handrail on one side of the staircase, the rail (3) comprising a tube and a strip (6) that extends radially away from the tube surface, which strip (6) is engaged by the support and guide means (16, 17, 33, 36), whereby the strip (6) extends obliquely from the tube in a direction that extends between the horizontal direction toward the wall or the handrail and the vertical direction toward the steps.

Abstract: A seat for a stair lift, which seat is provided with a fall protection device comprising at least one elongate safety bar which is movable between an open position and a closed position, in which open position a person can freely move into and out of the seat, wherein the safety bar is movably connected to an elongate support that is stationarily connected to the seat, which support extends on a side of the seat, wherein the fall protection device is designed so that in the open position the safety bar takes up a rearward position, in which it extends substantially parallel to and beside the support, and that in the closed position the safety bar takes up a forwardly moved (along the support), inwardly pivoted or rotated position, in which it extends from the front end of the support, in which position it can be locked, such that a person cannot fall out of the seat.

Abstract: A stair lift comprising a rail which is mounted along the staircase, at least partially at an angle to the horizontal plane, and a frame which is movable along the rail, on which a chair is mounted, which frame is provided with support and drive means that engage the rail, wherein the chair is rotatable about a vertical axis relative to the frame between two extreme rotated positions, wherein the chair comprises a seat on which a person can be seated and wherein the chair comprises a footrest on which a person seated on the seat can rest his or her feet, wherein the seat and the footrest are rotatable at mutually different angles about the vertical axis.
